Climbing Orchid Cards

Last year I held a Card Class at my house using the Climbing Orchid Bundle.
The first card was cased from Patty Bennett. The Jar of Love Bundle goes perfectly with the Climbing Orchid one. I love the Fresh Fig, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist combination.

Powder Pink and Berry Burst feature in the second card. I used my Blender Pen to pull out some of the colour in the orchid petals.

We had fun using the embossing paste for the background of the next card and sprinkling some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on it. The sentiment is included in the set. This time I used a Sponge Dauber for colouring in the petals.

The last card features an orchid copied from the one flowering on my kitchen window sill at the time of the class.
I used the Brick Wall Embossing folder for the background.

Mini Scrapbook for a 70th Birthday

I made this mini album before Christmas for a friend's 70th birthday.
I  bought the instructions from Jenny Moors a while back but had only made one album with them.

The colours used are Fresh Fig and Blushing Bride. The ribbon is from last year's Saleabration.
I used the Happiest of Birthdays and Number of Years Stamp Sets.

it took most of an evening to make and I really enjoyed it.

In the centre there is a waterfold section which pulls out to give more space for photos or comments.

Here is a close up of it.

Here it is partially pulled out.

I made a birthday card to go with it.

There were also instructions for making a box to present the album in.

Here is the album alongside the presentation box.

Hold On To Hope

I think that this is a great sentiment for the New Year whatever it might bring.
Along with Petal Passion the Hold On To Hope stamp set is my favourite out of the new Spring/Summer Catalogue launched on January 3rd.
The card above was cased from the Catalogue using Lemon Lime Twist and Bermuda Bay Inks. I stamped and embossed the leaf image on to Watercolour Paper first before applying the inks with an Aquapainter.

The next card is a clean and simple one combining the Hold On To Hope  with the Petal Passion stamp set.I coloured  in the stamped images with Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz and embossed the Blushing Bride card base with the Garden Trellis Embossing Folder.

The last card is only 4" x 4" and it could be given to someone who was being baptised.
The DSP is from the Naturally Eclectic Pack from the Annual Catalogue.
