Sheltering Tree

Sheltering Tree is another Stamp Set that was not one of my first choices  out of the Spring/Summer Catalogue. However once again some of my ladies recognised its potential and ordered it so I decided to get one myself and plan a Class.
I cased the above Seasons cards from Dawn Griffith. In addition I have added White Embossing Powder to the Winter Card and Blushing Bride Embossing Powder to the Spring one.

These two cards are ones that I will be giving to some of my customers as a thank you for their orders. The one on the left has the Blushing Bride Embossing Powder and the one on the right does not. Which one do you like best?

Variation on a theme in this card. The Early Expresso mat for the embossed image compliments the tree trunk.
The sentiment for all of the cards comes from the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set which is still available as a Wood Mount Set on the Clearance Rack for £15.59 reduced from £25.95.

Love is Kindness

I was not going to buy the "Love is Kindness" Stamp Set from the Spring/Summer Catalogue until two of my customers bought it so that inspired me to take a closer look and plan a class with it.
I am so glad that I did as it can be used with so many different sentiments.it is also a very reasonable price at £7.95.
The first card is for my daughter in Law's birthday next Monday. Pink Pirouette was the colour for her wedding last April. I coloured some White Seam Binding Ribbon with a Pink Pirouette Blendabilities pen. I also sponged Pink Pirouette on to some of the Irresistably Yours Cardstock.
The sentiment is from the Label Love Stamp Set.

The second card is one that we made at the class. We sponged  Baked Brown Sugar Ink on to some Typeset DSP. The Doily was sponged with some matching Pink Pirouette Ink. A Linen Thread Bow was adhered over the stems with a Glue Dot.

The Base Card used with the last two cards is Coastal Cabana. The Ribbon is from the Saleabration Accessory Pack. The DSP is also from the Saleabration Brochure. Colours also include Crushed  Curry and Calypso Coral.

Flower Shop and Pansy Punch

Last night I did a class for the ladies at a Local Christian Fellowship called "The Longcroft."
I divided them into five groups. Each group used one of the Flower Shop Stamps, one Background Stamp and one colour of Card Stock and Ink.
The first group used Hello Honey ink and Card Stock and the Flowering Flourishes background stamp.
The second group used Crisp Cantaloupe and the Swirl Stamp from Everything Eleanor.
The third group used Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grunge.

They all made matching Faceted Gift Boxes. All of the credit for the design of these goes to Sam Donald of Pootles.co.uk fame. The colours I used here are Lost Lagoon, Pistachio Pudding and Hello Honey.
The ladies all seemed to enjoy the class and I have to say that I did enjoy preparing and teaching it.
