Scalloped Tag Topper Cards.

Here are some cards that I have enjoyed making with the Tag Topper Punch.
I used the Summer Silhouettes Stamp Set on the first one. How I enjoyed using that stamp set again!
I used one of the stamps from the Happy Watercolour set to give that Pool Party tinge in the background and then stamped the flower and tiny accent flowers on it in Black and Pool Party ink.
It was finished off with tiny pearls, glitter pen and Vanilla Seam binding Ribbon.
I would call this a Gatefold Tag Topper Card!

I used the Watercolour Designer Series Paper on Pacific Point Cardstock on this card.
I cut out three flowers from the paper and adhered them with Dimensionals.
The sentiment  comes from the Peaceful Petals stamp set. The border on the left hand side was made using one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits. White Taffeta Ribbon and Pearls completed the card.

You can make cards in different sizes as seen in the top two cards. I stamped Whisper White Cardstock using the Petal Parade Saleabration Stamp Set for the background of the card on the left.
The sentiment is from the Pennant Parade Stamp Set cut out using the matching Banner Framelits.
I love the pastel colours of these two cards.
I used some of the Retro Designer Series Paper on the card below and the Zoo Babies Stamp Set.
Did you notice the toucan sitting on the elephant.

Miscellaneous cards

I do enjoy making individual cards for people. This one was a thank you card to an Aunt. I used the Happy Watercolour stamp set and the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. I also used up some K & Co paper from my stash. The Ribbon is the the gorgeous Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon . You can colour this ribbon with an ink pad or Stampin' Write Markers but I decided to leave it plain this time.

This is a birthday card that I sent to my oldest son's future Mother in Law who loves horses. The stamp is Magenta. I bought it second hand a while back and I have used it a few times. Decoupage gives the image extra dimension. I used the Finishing Accents Edgelits on one of our Gold Foil Sheets for the delicate zig zag edge on the left hand side.

The card above is a Thank You Card that I sent to my future daughter in law, Jenni. Pretty in Pink and roses are the theme for her wedding in less than 6 week's time. I used the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder from the Annual Catalogue. The sentiment is from a retired stamp set which I am hanging on to as I love the font!

Scalloped Tag Topper Boxes and two cards.

I have really enjoyed playing with the Scallop Tag Topper Punch from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.
So much so that I am going to run a Class here on Thursday, March 6th at 7.30pm. We will be making some of the items in this Blog Post.
Both of the above boxes were made out of A4 Cardstock. You could make any size in between depending on how much chocolate you wanted to put in it!
The DSP on the tall box is Eastern Elegance and on the small box I used the Fresh Prints DSP Stack from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

The box above has two openings and I got the instructions from Pootles.co.uk  HERE
I used Tango Tangerine Cardstock and DSP from the Retrofresh pack.in the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

Above is a neat little box which I have filled with some Lindt Easter Eggs (my favourite!)
I used the Sweet Sorbet Saleabration DSP on Calypso Coral Cardstock. I tied it with Pool Party Ribbon left over from last year's Saleabration.

I cased the box above from Becky Roberts'  blog www.inkingidaho.blogspot.co.uk. I just changed the colours a bit. The Cardstock base for the box and one of the cards is Crumb Cake and the base for the other card is Pool Party. The Flower Stamp is from the Happy Watercolour set from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

Happy Watercolour Class.

Last night I held a class here using the Happy Watercolour Stamp Set and the Watercolour Note cards and envelopes. The first card had a Baked Brown Sugar base. We punched out the Tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch from the Spring/Summer Catalogue and stamped the flowers using Stazon Ink as it is permanent and dries quickly. I cased this card from one which we made at our January team training day in the Wirral. The original was designed by Monica Gale and you can see it HERE

The second card was fairly straight forward. The background stamp was used three times without re inking to get the shadow effect. The sentiment is from the Wetlands stamp set. The butterfly was punched out of Champagne Glimmer Card stock using the Bitty Butterfly punch.

For this card I used the spotty stamp inked in colours to match the zig zag pattern on the right hand side of the card.

A little decoupage for the petals can be seen here to give a bit of dimension to the card.

The sentiment in this card comes from the Happy Day stamp set. The gold fancy foil vellum and Watercolour designer Paper was die cut using the very handy Banners Framelits Dies.
A few gold sequins add a bit of bling!

Gold Baker's Twine was used for the bow on the main stem of the flowers.
The sentiment is in the Happy Watercolour Stamp Set.

Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack and the Perfect Pennants Stamp Set.

I received the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack in my order this week and I love the colour combo.
I immediately thought of the Circle Thinlets and the Banner Blast Punch and had to get crafting to put together some thank you cards for my customers.
The colours in the papers are Coastal Cabana, Real Red, and Crumb Cake.
The Scalloped Circle and the star are included with the Circle Thinlets. I cut the star out of Red Glimmer Cardstock for a bit of extra bling!

The thx sentiment is also in the pack of Circle Thinlets and gives a quick greeting on the card.

I then got out my new Perfect Pennants Stamp Set and the matching Banners Framelits dies and made the above card. The tiny heart and star accent stamps are in the Banner Blast set which is one of the Saleabration items that you can get free with a £45 order until March 31st.
The thin zig zag border on the left hand side was cut out of Coastal Cabana Cardstock using one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits. This one is very useful for Men's cards.

Here is a picture of the Wood Mount Perfect Pennants Stamp Set. When Monica came over to do a training day in January I put the stickers and stamps on the wood mount blocks for her and then we could not remember how they fitted into the box as it was a very tight squeeze. So this photo is for the benefit of those who have the same problem as I have now found the solution.

Peaceful Petals 2

I am amazed at how versatile the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set is. I was asked to make a Sympathy Card this week and immediately I knew which stamp set I would use. I really enjoyed using the Blender Pen with Elegant Eggplant and Almost Amethyst (retired) ink pads. The base for the card is Elegant Eggplant and the mount for the Chalk Talk Tag is Certainly Celery.
The sentiment is from the Close as a Memory Stamp Set which retired a while ago. Taffeta Ribbon, glitter pen and some pearls added the final embellishment.

On this card I stamped with Black Stazon on to Watercolour Paper and then coloured the flowers in using an Aqyuapainter. I splattered the Tangerine Tango background with water from an Aquapainter!

On this card I stamped three flowers, painted them with an Aquapainter and then cut them out in ever decreasing sizes. I then layered them up with Dimensionals to give the 3D effect.
The leaves were cut out of Gumball Green Cardstock using the Bird Builder Punch.
The Window Frame Framelits provided the background for the sentiment which came from the same stamp set.
The DSP is the Watercolour DSP from the Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue.

Peaceful Petals

These cards were made using the Peaceful Petals Stamp Set which is also in the new Spring / Summer Stampin Up Catalogue.
I embossed both cards using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder which is one of the free Saleabration Products you can choose with a £45 order.

Here is another flower from the Peaceful Petals set. I stamped it on to a tag which I die cut using the Chalk Talk Framelits. I cut a mount for it from Coastal Cabana Card Stock and added some Coastal Cabana Ruffled Ribbon. The Thank You sentiment is from the same set. There is also a Thinking of You sentiment.
I used one of the stamps from the Background Builders set for the decorative edge on the left hand side.

Happy Watercolour Cards.

The first page to leap out at me from the new Stampin Up Spring / Summer Catalogue was page 22 with the Happy Watercolour Stamp Set and the pack of 20 Watercolour Wonder Designer Note Cards and Envelopes. There are two examples of the Designer Note Cards above. I stamped on them using Stazon Ink and then enjoyed using an Aquapainter and ink pads to colour in the flowers. I embellished them with three gold sequins from the reel of Gold Sequin Trim.

This is one of the cards which we made at our Training day recently. It was designed by Monica Gale.
The base card is Pistachio Pudding stamped with the dotty stamp from the Happy Watercolour set. It was stamped on a Tag which had already been punched out using the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.
The Lattice framework at the back of the card was taken from Simply Fabulous Simply Sent Kit from the Annual Catalogue on page 161. If you look carefully you will also see a piece of the Saleabration Sweet Sorbet paper. and some Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon.
