Party With Cake

Next Thursday Evening I am teaching a class using the P arty With Cake Stamp Set and the matching Pop Up Dies. I bought a pack of the It's My Party Card Stock to use with the co ordinating 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper Stack.

I love the "Calories don't count today" sentiment.
Monica Gale gave us a yummy bag of home made fudge at On Stage Telford and it had this sentiment on the front.

The next card is cased from the Spring/ Summer Catalogue.
The base is Mint Macaron. I have used  It's My Party Enamel Dots on all of the cards as they add that all important finishing touch.

Here is the inside of the card with one of the Pop Up Dies. Washi Tape is useful for covering up mistakes even when it is retired product. I think that I might treat myself to some of the It's My Party Washi Tape before it retires on May 31st.

A good use of Designer Series Paper is to cover a card before you add the layers.
This was a very Quick and Easy Card to complete.

I was determined to use the Confetti Embossing Folder so I decided to pair it up with the very versatile Number of Years Bundle.
I coloured the Embossed Card Stock by inking it with Sponge Daubers.
I then used my Wink of Stella Pen to add a bit of sparkle to those numbers.

Birthday Banner

This is the Birthday Banner that I made for my daughter's 21st Birthday last week. I confess that I started it at 6.30am the morning of her birthday as I had been finishing off an 8 x 8 Scrapbook Album the day before.
It was relatively quick and easy to put together using the Banner Framelits,Botanical Blooms Thinlets Dies and the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set for the background. I stuck mainly to the Brights Colour Family.
One of the huge advantages of Stampin Up is that so many of the products are colour co ordinated.

Here is the Birthday Girl by her Banner.

This is her reaction to the Album. I have kept that 8 x 8 Creative Memories Album for several years waiting to complete it for her 21st Birthday so I was really chuffed to get it done and even more so that she really did like it.

Number of Years

I seem to have been making a lot of cards recently with the Number Of Years Stamp Set.
First up is a 90th birthday card. I used the retired Beautiful Baroque Embossing Folder.
The flowers were stamped and punched using the Petite Petals Stamps and matching punch.
The main colour is Perfect Plum.

The second card is one which I made for my husband to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary.
I love the Balloon Celebration Stamp Set and it goes so well with the Number of Years set for all sorts of celebration.
Smoky Slate is the main colour with some Silver Glimmer card stock for the numbers and one of the layers behind them.

The last card is one which I made for my daughter's 21st birthday last week. The colours used are Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Mint Macaron. I used some of the It's My Party DSP Stack.

Recent Birthday Cards

Here are some cards which I have made for individuals recently.
First up is a 60th birthday card for a man. I love the Number of Years Stamp set and I thought that I would team it up with the Wetlands Stamp Set that I have not used in a while.
I also used the Timeless Textures Stamp Set from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.

The next card was for a friend's daughter. Again I used the Number of Years Stamp Set with the Zoo Babies set. What a winning combination for a child's birthday card.
Colours used are Pool Party, Blushing Bride and Early Expresso.

The next card was for my Son and Daughter in law's 2nd wedding anniversary.
I have not used the Owl Builder Punch in a while so it was good to get it out again and blow off the cobwebs! The branch was made by trimming the leaf die from the Rose Garden Thinlets.

I used the Birthday Bouquet colours for the the last card with the Hexagon Hive Thinlet cut out of Whisper White Card Stock ovr some of the Designer Series Paper.
I also used the Papillon Pot Pourri and Petite Petals Stamp Sets and Punches.
