Jar of Love

Recently I ordered the Jar of Love Stamp Set to have a play with. I borrowed the set from one of my customers a while back to run a class with it. I tried to persuade myself that I did not need to buy it but I am so glad that I now have it. I really enjoyed the variety of colours that you can combine for the flowers.

There is a stamp included for the water in the jar. The Sahara Sand base for the jar in the second card was made using a stamp from the Number of Years Stamp Set.

Flirty Flamingo and Watermelon Wonder were used for the large flowers in the third card.
This stamp set is going to be used for a lot of birthday cards this year. It was such fun to play with and the flowers were easy to cut out with Paper Snips although you can buy a set of matching Dies to do the job.

Oh So Succulent Bundle

A good way to start preparing for a Card Class is to lay out the Designer Series Paper, matching Card Stock, Stamp Set and Dies.

This Thursday I have got a card class using the Oh So Succulent Bundle from the Spring / Summer Catalogue. I cased the first card from a You Tube Video.

The Designer Series Paper that matches this Bundle is not to be missed. Every sheet of paper is gorgeous. The wreath is from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets.

The Succulent Framelit Dies were used to make the large flower to go on top of the Hexagonal Box which was made using the Window Box Thinlet Dies.
One flower looks like a lily.

The second flower looks like a succulent.

Lift Me Up Card Buffet

Last Saturday I had a Card Buffet at my house. We made 12 cards using the Lift Me Up Stamp Set and the Carried Away Designer Series Paper that you can get free with a £45 order.

There are 6 sentiments in the Stamp Set that all go well with the Hot Air Balloon Stamps.

The ladies had an option of making up the cards vertically or horizontally.
Night of Navy or Whisper White Baker's Twine gave the finishing touch to the cards.

Above is a card made with the matching Thinlets.

One last card with a thank you sentiment from the Tin of Cards Stamp Set.

Stampin Up Tasty Trucks and Delicate Details

Tonight I am doing a Saleabration Cards Class. One of the cards will be made using the Tasty Trucks Stamp Set. I wanted something bold and bright hence the use of Bermuda Bay and Melon Mambo.

I added Daffodil Delight to the second card so that it stood out more.

The next card uses the Saleabration Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper and the Delicate Details Stamp Set both of which are available free with a £45 order,
I stamped the Delicate Details in clear Versamark Ink and embossed it with white embossing powder.
I then sponged Calypso Coral, Blushing Bride and Pool Party Ink on it.
The flowers are from the Inside the Lines DSP.
The sentiment is from the Special Reason Stamp Set.

The last card uses the Avant Garden Stamp Set. I found  the video for this card on You Tube. It is called the Faux Frames Technique by Sandi MacIver.

So In Love Bundle

In the afternoon of the Craft Class last Saturday we used the So in Love Bundle which is on page 52 of the Spring/Summer Catalogue.
For the first card we used the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper and the luscious Vanilla Ribbon from page 51.

The second card is monochrome. Sweet Sugarplum accompanies Very Vanilla.
The flowers were cut out from the larger die.
We used the Falling Petals Embossing folder for the background.

Two layer flowers added dimension to this card. I love the combination of Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla.

The last card was cased from the internet HERE. I just added a Lace Doily cut into pieces for some extra interest.

Dragonfly Dreams Bundle

Last Saturday I had a Craft Day with 8 ladies attending. In the morning we made 4 cards using the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle from the Spring/Summer Catalogue.
We started off doing a technique using an acrylic block.
We coloured the block with  Bermuda Bay and Tempting Turquiose Stampin' Write Markers.
We then went over it with an Aquapainter before applying it to some Whisper White Card Stock.
The dragonfly's wings were sponged with Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay inks.

There is an artistic dots stamp in the set which was used for the background for the next card in Smoky Slate, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay Inks.
I got this idea from a You Tube Video HERE

The next card came from the Saleabration Brochure on the page about the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper. This was coloured using one of the small Brayers from the Annual Catalogue in 3 different colours.
I covered the black Dragonfly die cut with Fine Tip Glue Pen and then sprinkled Glitter over it.

After 2 cards in Bermuda Bay we switched to Melon Mambo.
We used the Watercolour Pencils to colour in Shimmer White Card Stock and then an Aquapainter to blend the colours. The Dragonfly was sponged with ink and the Awesomely Artistic and Timeless Textures Stamp sets were used for the background.

The last card was made with the Inside the Lines Designer Series Paper. We coloured it with the Watercolour Pencils and then used a Blender Pen.
The sentiment is from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set.
