Number of Years Stamp Set

Now that Christmas is over it is time to start playing with products from the Spring/Summer Catalogue which launches on January 5th.
The Number of Years Stamp Set is one of my favourites as it has matching Framelits.
First I made a card for a friend's birthday.

Then I started on Thank you cards to the kind people who sent me gifts from afar!
I have cased a card from the new Catalogue and just added some extra dots to the top and bottom of the cards.
The Gold Sequins,Wink of Stella Pen and Baker's Twine add an extra bit of bling.

Christmas Cards 2015

One of the many benefits of breing a Stampin Up Demonstrator is that you are never short of cards to send to people. I find it easier, when compiling my own Christmas Cards to send to friends and family,to repeat the same card in two or three different colours.
The two main colours that I used were Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy.

I love the All Ye Faithful Stamp Set so I decided to go with that. I also love the Ornate Tag Topper Punch. It gives such a delicate shape to the top of the tag.
I used the Curvy Corner Trio Punch to neaten the corners and the new Wink of Stella Glitter Pens to colour Mary and Joseph. The fact that you can use these as Blender Pens is great.

The rays of silver on the Night of Navy Card Stock behind the Tag were stamped with a stamp from the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue

Paperie Retreat Wreath Class

This week I held my first Wreath Class. This was my favourite project from the Paperie Retreat that Monica Gale did in October so all of the credit goes to her for designing such a beautiful wreath. Here I am covering the pine cones with a diluted paint mixture.

Below is the wreath which I made at the Paperie Retreat.
I used Whisper White Card Stock for the roses with Silver Glimmer Paper for the leaf inserts.
The Roses were cut out with the Stampin Up Spiral Flower Die.
A Hot Glue Gun is essential for this project.
I am running two more wreath classes and there is only one space left so please let me know if you would like to join us.
One is on Monday, December 14th at 7.30pm and the second on Thursday, December 17th at 9.30am.

The next photo is the wreath that one of my ladies made this week. The roses were die cut from Very Vanilla Card Stock and we used Gold Gimmer Paper for the leaves.

The last photo is a close up of the pine cones on soggy kitchen roll having just been dipped in the paint mixture.

Bakers Box Die

I recently ordered the Bakers Box Die Bundle and I have to say that I love it.
The first two boxes were made out of A4 Card Stock. The colours are Real Red and Cucumber Crush. The Tags were made with the Merry Everything Stamp Set and the matching Tag Punch.

It is so quick and easy to make adorable boxes with this Die and fill them with the inevitable chocolate treats. I have just made a load of boxes for a craft fair tomorrow.
The set includes a circle to cut an aperture with and a choice of three handles for the top. The one that I used can be applied on the first sweep of the die whereas the other two have to be cut on a second run through the Big Shot
I decided to use some of the Speciality  Winter Wonderland DSP on the next two boxes to add some extra class. I embossed the Tag with Gold Embossing Powder to match the gold in the DSP.

The Gold Cording Trim added the final touch. I am so sad that it is retiring as it is so easy to use and looks fabulous.

The last two boxes used the DSP from the Speciality Winter Wonderland pack.
The boxes fit a generous amount of chocolates in them which is another bonus.

Wonderful Wreath Stamp Set

Yesterday, I had a Craft Day at my house. The first photo shows you what the room looked like before the ladies arrived. I did not take any photos of the ladies in action!

We used the Wonderful Wreath Stamp Set in one of the classes. The first two cards are cased from some cards that Monica Gale designed for the Paperie Retreat last year.
I used the retired Serene Snowflakes Stamp Set on the Kraft Card Base.

The Cherry Cobbler Tag was made with some of the Merry Moments Paper Stack. The sentiment was die cut using the Christmas Sentiments Thinlets.

The third and fourth cards were cased from Teri Pocock. I loved her use of colour but I did not have enough Island Indigo Card Stock so I used Bermuda Bay and Pool Party instead.

The Softly Falling Embossing Folder was used on the Whisper White Card Stock.
The berries were stamped with silver Versamark ink and embossed in silver.

All Ye Faithful

I enjoyed making some Christmas Cards with the All Ye Faithful Stamp Set. Several people on Pinterest have used the sun rays stamp from Kinda Eclectic for the background and I liked that idea so I made good use of it. The roof is made from the Hearth and Home Dies. I used the Hardwood Stamp to get the wood grain texture.

Crumb Cake was used for the base card with some of the Merry Moments DSP Stack .
I love the Ornate Tag Topper Punch as it gives such a delicate finish to a tag.

The idea for this card came from Pinterest. I used Gorgeous Grunge for the speckled effect in the lower half of the card. I embossed it in gold.

I recently saw a Centre Stepper Card on the internet and I thought that it would be a good dimensional card to use with the All Ye Faithful Stamp Set. The Gold Oval and Glimmer Card strip give it a bit of extra bling.

Stampin Up Note Pads

Recently I have been making items to sell at Local Craft Fairs. I enjoyed covering a number of Notebooks with Stampin Up Designer Series Paper.

It was a good way to use up retired product and thankfully people at the Craft Fairs bought a number of the Note books.

I used the retired Bigz Leaves Die to cut out the Autumn leaves. I then embossed them with a Wood Grain Embossing Folder.

I enjoyed using the Butterfly Thinlets Die to add some extra embellishment.
I also sponged most of the edges to give a slightly grungy look.

The above sentiment is from the Trust God stamp set from the Annual Catalogue.
The Designer Series Paper is also from the Annual Catalogue. It is called Timeless Elegance.

The sentiment used for the above note book is from the Into the Woods Stamp Set in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue.

The sentiment on the last note book is from the Feel Goods Stamp Set which is in the Annual Catalogue.

White Christmas and Hearth and Home

On Thursday, November 26th, I am running a Card Class using the White Christmas and Festival of Trees Stamp Sets. The Centre Stepper Card above is the improved version of the Card that I posted on my Blog on November 2nd. I prefer the sky sponged in Soft Sky Ink.

I have used Pool Party for the base in the second card. This colour goes really well with Real Red.
I embossed the Card Base with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and added a few dots of glue to some of the snowflakes with the Fine Tip Glue pen before adding some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.

We will be making the third card at my Craft Day on Saturday, November 28th.
I used the Festival of Trees Stamp Set for the Christmas Tree inside the window.
I inked the non Sissix side of the Brick Wall Embossing Folder with Tip Top Taupe ink so that the bricks would be coloured.
The bow and Noel are from the Wonderful Wreath Bundle and the leaves are from the Bouquet Bigz Die.

Home For Christmas Cards

The first card is one which we shall be making at my Home For Christmas Card Class, here, this Wednesday at 7.30pm. I cut the fawn out of a sheet of the Home For Christmas DSP.
The base card was embossed with the Boughs and Berries Textured Embossing Folder which was coloured in with some Stampin' Write Markers. The Merry Sentiment was die cut using one of the Christmas Greetings Thinlets. The Christmas sentiment was from the "To You and Yours Too" Stamp Set. The banners were cut from Mossy Meadow Card Stock and some of the Home for Christmas DSP. The embellishments are some of the Home For Christmas Enamel Dots.

The second Card was made using the Wonderland Stamp Set for the trees and the Hearth and Home Framelits for the window.
The Real Red Base Card was embossed using the Boughs and Berries Embossing Folder.
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. The bow was punched out with the Bow Builder Punch which I have not used in a while but I was glad to get it out again.

The last card is a Centre Stepper Card. I used the White Christmas Stamp Set for the scene and some of our Red Cotton Ribbon with Silver Cording and some Rhinestones to finish it off.
The trees were lightly sprinkled with Dazzling Diamonds after I had applied some of the Fine Tip Glue Pen.

Stampin Up Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit

Two weeks ago I went on the Paperie Retreat organised by Monica Gale. It took place at Monk Fryston Hall Hotel in Yorkshire. As always we had an amazing two days of pampering, excellent food, amazing classes and lots of laughter!
We were given a third of the Oh What Fun Tags Project Kit to take home with us as we did not have time to complete it there (Too much chatting!)
When I got home I completed the ten tags that we were given in less than an hour.

I used a variety of Christmas Sentiments from Stamp Sets past and present.

The Kit had lots of embellishments including jingle bells, bows, sequins and Glimmer Paper Banners.

It was great fun to complete. So much so that I am adding a Kit to my next order so that I can do this as a class in December.

I even used some of the completed Tags to decorate some mini wine bottles for a Craft Fair that I did  last Week End.

More Winter Wonderland

The first card was made by inking up one  side of the Woodland Embossing Folder with Lost Lagoon, Island Indigo and Night of Navy Ink. I then added some spots of glue using the Fine Tip Glue Pen and the Peace Sentiment from the Christmas Greetings Thinlets Dies.

The second card I cased from Julie Kettlewell. I decided to ink up the bottom of the card with Clear Versamark and then I applied White Embossing Powder.

The third card was cased from one in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue. The Wonderland Trees were stamped on to some of the Woodland Speciality DSP using the Black Archival Ink. I then dried it with the Heat Tool. The Winter wonderland Embellishment was embossed with gold embossing powder and a Rhinestone was put in the centre to add a bit of bling. A thin sliver of Gold Glimmer Cardstock was glued down the left hand side.

Wonderland

Next week I will be doing two Wonderland Classes at my house. Wednesday, October 14th at 7.30pm and Thursday, October 5th at 9.30am. We will be making 4 cards and it will involve a few different techniques. The cost is £10.
The first card includes some sponging and the Stamping Off Technique.

For the next card I used the Dots and Stripes Stencils with Gold Ink. I also Embossed the Wooden Snowflake.

The next card was cased from Monica Gale HERE Instead of using the Dotty Glassine Bags I used the Dots Stencil with Whisper White Craft Ink. the Wooden Snowflake was embossed with silver embossing powder.

The next two cards were very simple to make. I used the Gorgeous Grunge Stamp set to add interest to the card background.

For the card below I traced a circle before stamping the branxh from the Wonderland Stamp Set. The berries were stamped using the Wondrous Wreath Stamp Set. The sentiment and bow were from that stamp set too. I love the Reindeer Embellishments from the new Catalogue so one of those had to make an appearance too.

The background for the next two cards was made using a Brayer. You can watch the video on You Tube  HERE. The colours used are Bermuda Bay and Blackberry Bliss.
