Bright Blossoms meets Madison Avenue!
I had great fun at a friend's house this afternoon making small Thank you cards using the Blossom Party and Madison Avenue Stamp Sets. The latter is only available until March 22nd when the Sale-a-bration ends.
I am posting all of these photos of the cards for the benefit of one of my ladies who is thinking along the Brights line at the moment. I used the Brights Stampin' Write Markers for all of these cards and really enjoyed using them. My Stampin' Scrub also was well used!
The Petite Pairs Stamp Set was used for all of the sentiments.
The Scallop Trim Border and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punches were used.
The 1 inch Circle and 1 1/4 inch Scallop Circle Punches go well with the Petite Pairs Stamps.
Rhinestone Basic Jewels and Pearl Basic Jewels added the final bit of sparkle.
The cards were from a pack of 50 which I bought at a local Craft Store.
I hope that you all have a go at making quick and easy cards like these.
I was surprised by how well the two stamp sets seemed to work together!

Box for Three Cadbury's Eggs!
One of my ladies has asked me to do an Easter Card Workshop so the first thing I decided to do was make a box that would hold three Cadbury's eggs. That took priority over designing the Cards!
I was in Home Bargains this morning and found a box of three chocolate eggs which I bought and then took the box apart to work out the dimensions. I was also inspired by Connie Stewart who has made a similar box with slightly different dimensions. So thanks, Connie, for the inspiration.
I used Rose Red and Certainly Celery Card Stock although Elegant Eggplant and Daffodil Delight would have been a better match with the eggs.
I stamped it using the Bloomin Marvellous Sale-a-bration Set. I stamped some of the flowers on to a scrap of More Amore Paper and cut them out. I always love using up scraps.
I had to show you a picture of what is inside the Box.
I used the smallest of the Labels Framelit Dies for the window on the top of the box.
I used the matching Stamp Set to stamp the Label in Rose Red and then cut it out using the Big Shot.
The Ribbon is Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon which ties beautifully and is a great colour for Easter.

Chocolate Buttons Treat Pouch!
My dear daughter is on Stocks today which means that she is mucking out, grooming and cleaning the tack of horses at Reaseheath College. I decided to buy her a packet of giant chocolate buttons to come home to.Recently she has been hinting at me to buy some. As I had a little time on my hands I set about preparing a Treat Pouch to add to the surprise element and make them look more inviting.
The observant among you will notice that the paper is not Stampin Up but it is her favourite colour and swirly.
I die cut one end using the Adorning Accents Die and then embossed it with the matching Textured Impressions Embossing folder.
I bought the ribbon at a local craft store recently. It always gives me a good feeling to use some of what I buy soon after I have purchased it rather than stashing it all away to gather dust.
I just had to punch out some beautiful butterflies with my new Elegant Butterfly Punch.
Next on my order list is the Papillon Potpourri Stamp Set to go with the punch!
I stamped a sentiment in Melon Mambo ink using a stamp from the From My Heart set which I love.
I just had to decorate the Tag with a butterfly and large Gem. Monica Gale would be proud of me.lol.
I wrote a little message inside the Tag which was die cut using one of the Edgelits Adorning Accents Dies.
This is what she has to look forward to finding when she opens the Treat Pouch!

Envelope Waterfall Album.
Bekka Prideaux designed a Waterfall Album for the Passionettes Training Day in January this year and I have enlarged it a bit to accomodate Stampin Up's Cream Envelopes.
These are a tad larger than the Crumb Cake Envelopes used in the original design.
Some of my ladies are doing this as a Workshop, here, next week.
We will be using the gorgeous Natural Composition Speciality Papers.
They are actually Cardstock with raised Glossy embossed patterns on them.
In the above Album I used Rich Razzleberry Card Stock with some retired Creative Memories papers.
I decorated the inside with the Bloomin Marvellous Sale-a-bration and the From My Heart Stamp Sets.
These are both my new favourites!
I used the Decorative Label Punch for the tabs on the cards in the envelopes. They were punched out of Melon Mambo Card Stock.
I have someone in mind for this album but won't say who as they might read this Blog and it would spoil the surprise!

More Amore, Hearts A Flutter and Pinwheels.
Above are two versions of another card which we made at the Card Workshop, I ran at my house on Thursday, showcasing products from the new Catalogue.
I started with a Pool Party base and stamped it using the flower image from the Bloomin Marvellous Sale-a-bration Stamp Set.Some of the Delicate Details Lace Strip was used on the left hand card. The strip on the right card was punched out with a Stampin Up punch which is sadly now retired.
Other products used on the cards include Lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit, the Laser Cut Hearts from the More Amore Designer Paper, Designer Builder Brads, the Hearts A Flutter Bundle, a sentiment from the You Are Loved Stamp Set and the Sale-a-bration Vintage Verses, First Edition Speciality Paper and some Melon Mambo 1/2 inch Scallop Dots Ribbon.
I also added a Large Pearl Basic Jewel - Love these!
For the fourth card I used the very popular Pinwheel Die and the Sunshine and Sprinkles Paper cut out using the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die which cuts a 4 3/8 inch Scalloped Square. I also used it to cut a Scalloped strip out of a piece of Melon Mambo from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack. The sentiment is from the set of stamps which goes with the Pinwheel die called Wishes Your Way. It is punched out with the Modern Label Punch.
By the way the Silver Mini Brads are a perfect size to use with the Pinwheel die.

Tea for Two and Print Poetry Designer Series Paper.
I love the colour combinationTea for Two Designer Series Paper.
It goes so well with the Paper Doilies and Flower Trim from the new Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue.
I made the above card for a friend who is going through a challenging time in her life. The sentiment can be applied to so many situations.
I used the Tea For Two Designer Series Paper with Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Calypso Coral Card Stock.
I inked up half a Doily and one of the flowers from the Flower Trim with Calypso Coral Ink.
I also used the Scallop Trim Corner Punch, Labels Framelits, From My Heart Stamp Set and Island Indigo Ribbon (part of a Sale-a-bration ribbons and buttons bundle you can choose free for £45 spent on an order).
The second card is one that we are making tomorrow night at the Card Workshop, here, using products from the new Seasonal catalogue.
I have used the Hexagon Embossing Folder with Whisper White Card Stock.
I also used the Folder to emboss some papers from the Print Poetry Paper Stack and then cut out some of the hexagons and glued them to the Whisper White base.
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp Set and it is layered on some Raspberry Ripple Card Stock which was die cut using the Window Frames Collection.
I then tied some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine around the card to finish it off.
Come back in two days time to see what else we made!

Sale-a-bration Make and Take.
Following the Scrapbook Day I went to St. Oswalds in Bidston to do a Make and Take.
Eighteen + people came and we had great fun!
First they made the card using some of the Sale-a-bration Papers and the Patterned Occasions Stamp Set.
They used the Standard Handle with the Love Blossoms Wheel and Tempting Turquoise ink at the top and bottom of the card for added interest.
The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and the Itty Bitty Punch were used for extra embellishments along with the delightful Pinwheel Die which proved to be very popular!
Next they made the Candy Wrapper Box which had been die cut with the Candy Wrapper Die.
They used the Builder Wheels Bees and Blossoms and Thoughtful Friend.
They wrapped some Sale-a-bration Ribbon around the gap in the middle. This was covered with a Heart cut out with the Hearts a Flutter Dies and a sentiment using the Itty Bitty Banners which is another Stamp Set that you can get for free during the Sale-a-bration with a £45 order.
If you would like to host a Make and Take and have the opportunity to get some free product then please contact me for more details.
Circle Book
One of the ladies at my Scrapbook Day, here, yesterday made this Circle Book.
I prepared the Kit for her using the Creative Memories Jumbo Circle which made the preparation a lot easier than using a dinner plate.
I used Real Red and Pool Party 12 x 12 Card Stock for the base and the More Amore Speciality Designer Papers to cover the Card Stock.
Above you can see some of the embellishments. These have been cut out with the Scallop Circle Punch, The Labels Framelits and the Hearts a Flutter Dies. The ribbon used to tie it all together is the 5/8 inch WhisperWhite Organza Ribbon.
Contact me if you would like me to prepare a Kit for you.

Tutorial for Ferrero Rocher Boxes using Labels Framelits.
Die cut two Labels Framelits using the third largest frame.
Put a place marker at the 2 1/8th inch mark on the Score Board.
Run your scoring tool down that line and place one of the die cut Labels in between.
Now put two markers at 1 3/8th inch and 2 7/8th inch and score both lines.
Do this for both Labels.
Turn the Label to the vertical position and put markers at 1 inch and 2 1/2 inches. Run the scoring tool down one of these lines and place the Label down to make sure that it is aligned correctly matching the grooves with the markers.
Score the two lines.
Repeat with the other Label.
Cut up to score lines as shown in the photograph with one Label horizontal and the other vertical.
NB Two tabs have been cut off from the Vertical Label on the right.
Adhere the tabs to the sides using Tombow Adhesive or Red Double Sided Tape.
The base is on the left below the Tombow and the lid is on the right.
Attach the lid to the base.
This is the back of the box once the tab has been attached.
The completed box decorated with Sycamore Street DSP punched with the Scallop Square Punch and flowers punched with one of the Itty Bitty Punches.
I then added a Tangerine Tango button from the Sale-a-bration Ribbon and Button pack, free with a £45 order.
The finishing touch was one large Pearl Basic Jewel on the button and small ones on the flowers. The Jewelry Tag Punch was used for the Thank You sentiment cut of the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set.
I hope that you enjoy making these Boxes. Please remember to respect my original design and link back to my Blog if you share it on line.

Madison Avenue and the Diagonal Plate.
I love it when an order arrives and you have the time to play with some of the items straight away.
Today, amongst other products, I received the Diagonal Plate for the Scoring Board, the Sycamore Street Papers and the Madison Avenue SAB Stamp Set FREE!
I also got the Brights Stampin' Write Markers.
So I set to and made some Thank you cards for the lovely ladies who had placed an order with me last week.
The Brights Markers matched the Sycamore Street Papers but I did add the Summer Starfruit from the 2012-2014 In Colours. My inspiration came from our recent training day with Monica Gale.
You can see the original cards HERE on Monica's Web Site.
I call these free form cards as there is no right or wrong in what you choose to do.
Perfect cards to do with people at a Make and Take, especially if they are beginners, as they can't go wrong.
I used the Diagonal Plate to do the envelopes.
I found a very useful chart for the sizes HERE
I decided to make 3 inch square cards so I was instructed to cut a 5 inch square of DSP and then score using the 2 1/4 inch line on the plate.
It was a cinch!
I can't wait to do more!

Passionettes Spring/Summer Seasonal Catalogue Blog Hop, 2013
Welcome to the last Blog in the Passionettes Spring/Summer Catalogue Blog Hop.
I hope that you have been inspired by all of the beautiful projects that everyone has prepared using the new products available to order from the Catalogue.
You may have just joined us or come from Tara's Blog HERE.
I chose to showcase some products from pages 32 - 33 of the Catalogue.
I based my projects on the Sizzlits S Die which die cuts an adorable pinwheel and the Blowing Wishes Your Way Stamp Set. The Stamp Set also has the sentiments happy birthday, thank you, best wishes and you are headed in the right direction so they can be used for a good selection of cards.
For the above card and treat box I used Tempting Turquoise, Real Red and Daffodil Delight from the Brights colour family.
Pinwheels speak to me of Summer - teas in the garden, parties or the Beach!
I then made a card and a Ferrero Rocher Box in more subtle tones using the In Colour 2012 - 2014 Family.
I love the Pinwheels. They are so easy to make as the holes to put the mini brad through are cut out by the Big Shot. You can fold each section over on to a Pricking tool, hold it secure with your fingers and then thread the Mini Brad through to hold it all together.
I also love Scrapbooking and I know that these pinwheels will enhance all sorts of pages especially Summer ones!

Designer Series Paper - Poppy Parade and Patio Party.

8 x 8 Scrapbook Album
I completed an 8 x 8 Creative Memories Picfolio Album this week for my husband's 60th birthday. I chose the photos at Tescos on Monday and collected them on Tuesday. I sorted them on Tuesday evening using the Creative Memories Jewel Heritage 8 x 8 Kit. I then cropped the photos. On Wednesday I journalled and embellished and finished it on Thursday lunch time to give to him in the evening.
This is the first page.
I really enjoyed choosing the photos that told his story mostly in the last two years. The pages included Family walks, trips, fun activities, friends and much laughter.
Our Christian Faith is central in our lives so I included a double page spread about our church and a visit by John Mackay giving a Creation Talk.
The last page came back to our Family and ended with Psalm 128
