Tom's Birthday Card

I made this card recently for Tom's 12th birthday. It was good to use the Owl Punch again. The cake and sentiment underneath is from the Stamp Set Happy You. The top sentiment is from Petite Pairs.
I used Pacific Point and Real Red Card Stock. The Pacific Point Card Base was embossed with a Wood-grain Folder.

Best of Flowers Card.

At the Training Day in Telford we were given the Best of Flowers Stamp Set. I decided to combine it with a Sentiment from the Trust God Stamp set. I love Melon Mambo and I have not used it in a while so I decided to do a monochromatic card with it.
One of the finishing touches Edgelits was used for the border and the flower was made with three flowers from the Fancy Flowers Punch. A Vintage Faceted Button was put in the middle with a flower stamped with a stamp from Tiny Tags before it was punched out using one of the Itty Bitty Punches.
A Rhinestone Basic Jewel finished it off.

Here is a close up of the flower.

Two Cards.

The first card was made for a friend at Church who is going through a difficult time with depression.
It is so encouraging, when we are going through trials like that, to believe that God has created each one of us and that He has a special purpose and plan for our lives.
I used part of the peacock paper from the Birds of a Feather collection with Island Indigo Card Stock. The Adorning Accents Edgelits and matching Embossing folder give it some added texture.
The Papillon Potpourri Stamp set and matching punch compliments any lady's card.
I also used the Decorative Labels Punch to punch out the sentiment which is from the Trust God Stamp Set.
Pearl Basic Jewels finish it off with some retired Daffodil Delight Grosgrain Ribbon.

I cased the second card from one of the Demos at the Telford Training Day last Saturday.
I used the Distressed Dots Stamp with White ink for the dots on the Crumb Cake Label.
I also used Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon instead of the Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon which I do not have.
The tiny Baja Breeze band at the top was made using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.
We are making this card at my team training day, here, tomorrow morning.

Summer Silhouettes Cards.

I am aiming to be organised so I have prepared some cards for my Summer Silhouettes Class  next week.
I have used Soft Subtles Card Stock and inks with the addition above of the Large Scallop Edgelit and the matching Delicate Design Folder.
The sentiment has been stamped using the Made For You sentiment stamp set.

The second card has Marina Mist for the card base. I stamped it before embossing it on both sides with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder. I used a sanding tool and a Creative Memories Paper Tearer to roughen up the edges.
I cut out the Framelit for the sentiment with one of the Dies from the Apothecary Accents set.

Swaps for Telford Training Day.

I have been busy making 40 swaps for the Stampin Up Training Day at Telford tomorrow.
I was inspired by a card on the internet to use sponge daubers with the Papillon Potpourri set.
The Brights Papers remind me of Summer so with all of the inclement weather we are having I thought that it would help remind us that we will hopefully get warmer weather soon!

I got the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder in my order last week and I don't know why I did not order it before now. The sentiment is from the Trust God stamp set.It is always good to remember our Creator as the Human Body really is an amazing Work of Art.

The butterflies above were inked using the Sponge Daubers in Melon Mambo and Rich Razzleberry.
I used another sentiment from the Trust God stamp set.

I used the Pinwheel Die and the Hexagon Embossing Folder for the last six cards. The small flowers were stamped using the tiny flower in the Summer Silhouettes set. The small heart at the side of the sentiment is from the Tiny Tags stamp set.

I hope to be back soon with some photos from the Training Day.

Triple Flip Album of Lambing Day at Reaseheath.

I have enjoyed making a Triple Flip Album today as an example to show the ladies who are making one here this Wednesday, May 8th.
I love So Saffron and it is a good colour to use for a boy's album.
That is my youngest son, Tom, with his favourite lamb which he named Calli.
He held that lamb for half an hour and wanted to take it home at the end of the day!

This is what you see when you start to open the album. I have put a Journalling mat in the middle.
The lambs were kept warm under the light. On the right you can see Tom holding one of the premature ones.

This is the album opened to its full size which is 18 inches square.
I included a photo of a lamb being born and just afterwards. That was a very special moment as it happened nearly at the end of the day.and we saw it all close up.
What a wonderful thing birth and new life are. I can't help being reminded of what John the Baptist said of Jesus "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." John 1:29
