Warm Hugs Stamp Set.

I love the Coffee mugs in the Warm Hugs Stamp set and the sentiments that go with them. The stamps go really well with the Heartwarming Hugs DSP  from the same Suite. I enjoyed doing Medallion stamping with this Stamp set. You can view my YouTube video of the technique HERE - https://youtu.be/xv4wcqLGRms

This is a good way to use up scraps of dsp. I stamped the mugs using the Stamparatus for the Medallion Stamping Technique.

Another lay out for scrap dsp which I cased from Pinterest. A variant of the Scrappy Strip Technique.

Another Medallion Stamping technique. I used the Detailed Trio punch for the corners of the dsp.

Origami Christmas Tree Card

I love playing with paper and ink so today it is paper, showcasing some simple Origami. I used the Designer Series Paper from The Quite Curvy Variety Bundle. the colours are Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler and Sahara Sand. I used Glue Dots to keep the parts of the tree flat.

The second tree is in Sahara Sand. This time I did not use Glue Dots so that the tree looks more dimensional. The star was die cut using some of the Gold Foil Card using a retired set of Dies called Trim Your Stocking.

Plaited Paper Technique

I follow Song of My Heart  Stampers Blog and was inspired by the Plaited Paper Technique which Lyssa demonstrated recently. I used the Heartwarming Hugs DSP for the fist card with a sentiment from The For Unto us stamp set in the Holiday Catalogue. The Baubles are from the retiring Tag Buffet Stamp Set.

The second card uses papers and the bundle from the Coming Home Suite. I decided to stamp the trees from the set for a background.

This is copied from one of Lyssa’s cards. I added two Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper strips.

The last card is also almost the same as the one that Lyssa did. I really enjoyed this technique as it is very easy to do and makes an effective background.

In The Pines 1

I have really enjoyed using inking techniques with the In The Pines Stamp Set. I cased the technique for the first card from Barry and Jay at Mitosu Crafts. It looks like an Autumnal evening.

A different Technique was used on this card to create a birds eye view of a Pine forest. You can watch my YouTube Video HERE - https://youtu.be/1QNYWGuludw

This card was cased from the Annual Catalogue. I love stamping a sentiment repeated times to create a background. I cut up the gold ring using our Circle Dies.

A walk through the woods in Winter best describes the last card.

Most Wonderful Time Card Class in the post

This week I used the Most Wonderful Time Refill kit for my Online Zoom Class. If you live in the UK then please contact me for details of my Online Zoom Classes which I hold once every two weeks. You can view a YouTube Video of the class HERE - https://youtu.be/Yukf5aybXIc. We did a version of the Scrappy Strip Paper Piecing Technique for the first card. Real Red Gold and Old Olive compliment each other.

The Designer Series Paper in this Kit is gorgeous with gold foiling on one side. We cut the presents out of one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper. I lightly sponged the sentiment banner with some Pear Pizzazz ink.

I love the Deer Stickers in this kit. They look so regal and go well with the Designer Series Paper.

The Candy Canes are also stickers in the kit and they match some of the DSP. One tip is to rub the back of the stickers with an Embossing Buddy to remove some of the stickiness.

One Sheet Wonder with Peaceful Boughs and For unto us Stamp sets.

I was inspired by Ruth Trice’s Video to do a One Sheet Wonder. She had used The Life is Beautiful Stamp Set. I decided to use Peaceful Boughs from The Annul Catalogue with a sentiment from For Unto Us. You can view my YouTube Video HERE - https://youtu.be/KLCs_8fFjMQ I got eight card fronts out of one sheet of Very Vanilla Card stock.

I used Gray Granite for the Card Base of my second card. I chose card bases to match the ink colour that I had sponged with.

This card has a Cherry Cobbler card base with a Shaded Spruce Banner and a Copper Foil Stitched Rectangle to give extra bling to the card.

I used Copper Foil again here with Soft Suede sponging.

Real Red also goes with Shaded Spruce. I added some Red Foil Berries cut out with the Detailed Dove Dies.

Gray Granite card base again embossed with the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. Cherry Cobbler is a good contrast.

Curvy Christmas and watercolour techniques.

I really enjoy watercolour techniques so I decided to make some watercolour backgrounds for the Curvy Christmas Stamp Set. You can view my YouTube video HERE - https://youtu.be/W0zp_bGudbQ.                I used Bermuda Bay and Misty Moonlight for the first card.

The colour combo in this card is Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler. The Star stamp was inked in Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. I used the new Stampin up Blending Brushes which will be available in the January- June 2021, Catalogue. I also inked up the Artistry Blooms DSP with some Cherry Cobbler Ink so that it would match the background.

A similar card but Landscape. The line of trees was stamped in Versamark and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. A gold Stitched Rectangle was placed behind the stamped image. I flicked some watered down retired gold glimmer paint across the sky with an Aquapainter.

Warm and Toasty

I decided that I needed a Stamp Set with some cute Christmas characters so this is the one that I chose. I love the polar bear with these colours.  I used some of the Snowflake Wishes Designer Series paper and one of the snowflake dies cut out using the Balmy Blue Glimmer paper.

I used the Peek a Hoot Dies to die cut the frames for this card and then stamped some of the animals in the spaces on the Whisper White card Stock. I Coloured them in with the Blends Pens. You can view a video on how I made this card HERE - https://youtu.be/6Qd4A0AygF8

I love the Plaid Tidings DSP. The sentiment is from the “For Unto Us” Stamp Set from the Holiday Catalogue.

Here is the cute deer with the Plaid Tidings DSP and a sentiment from the set.

Simple cards with Zany Zebras

Here are some quick and easy cards with the Zany Zebras Stamp Set. I used a  DSP from last year’s In Colour 6x6 stack with some black card stock on a Whisper White card base. I also used the Stitched So Sweetly Dies from the Annual Catalogue.

This card is 5x5. The colour combo is Call Me Clover and Lovely Lipstick which sadly retired in May this year. The Label for the sentiment was cut out using a new set of dies coming out in January called Floral Gallery Dies.

The last card showcases the Scrappy Strip Technique which is so useful for using up your dsp scraps. The Flowers For Every Season 6x6 dsp pack is ideal for this stamp set as the right colours match the mood of the stamp set.

Curvy Christmas

Tomorrow evening I am doing an Online Zoom Class using the Curvy Christmas Stamp Set which is available for a limited time only. In the first card I have combined it with  the Snow globe and Home Together  Dies. The background DSP is from the Snowflake Wishes Suite.

I used Pigment Sprinkles in Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay for the second card with a touch of Frost White Shimmer Paint for highlighting.

The Poinsettia in this card is from the Wreath Builder Dies. The DSP is part of the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle but can be bought separately. I love the colour combo of Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce and Cherry Cobbler.

This is a variation of the Scrappy Strip Card using the Quite Curvy Dies. The Have a Hoot Stamp set is a cute, whimsical set to highlight any card.

Another card using the Pigment Sprinkles in Gorgeous Grape and Mango Melody.

Snowflake Wishes 2

The Stamparatus is great for many things including Medalllion Stamping which I have done here. Here is a link to my YouTube Video - https://youtu.be/eFVujO-v-6c

A simple card using the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper to give some bling.

A Shaker card in Highland Heather which is a great alternative colour for Christmas Cards.

This card uses a Paper Piecing technique which I have showcased in a YouTube video HERE - https://youtu.be/yWYsK1leNys

Snowflake Wishes 1

The first card is a simple stamping card using theSnowflake Wishes stamp set with Pool Party, Highland Heather, Smoky Slate and Soft Sea Foam Ink Pads. You can view my YouTube video about the class that I did with this set HERE - https://youtu.be/G_E3crzJeoY

This card was cased from Jay and Barrie. It was surprisingly easy to make and is a fun 3 dimensional card using some of the Dies from the Suite.

A simple card using one of the non Christmas sentiments in the stamp set.

Quick and easy card using one of the Dies with Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper behind the negative to give some sparkle.

Coming Home Suite.

Here are some cards from my Coming Home Card Class. I love the whole Suite it is perfect for snowy scenes and even new home cards. There are so many houses to use from the Designer Series Paper alone.

You can watch my YouTube video if you click HERE - https://youtu.be/vdAbXVXPO8A

This card was cased from Julie Kettlewell. I used the Tasteful Label Dies for the aperture. The sentiment was cut from the DSP. The background was embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder.

This card was cased from Julie too. This is a great card layout using any DSP.

The last card is a Stepper Card setting a snow scene.I used the die with the pine trees to add some interest.
