Garden In Bloom

A few weeks ago I enjoyed attending a class run by one of my Downline, April Cheetham.
We made 3 cards using the Garden In Bloom Stamp Set and a box to put them in.
I loved using the set so much that I bought it!
Above are the three cards that we made in the class. I love the subtle colours chosen by April.

This is a card that I made using a Pool Party base. The Bee and tiny butterfly are a fun part of the stamp set.

Here is a photo of the box which we made. Neutral colours which would blend with anything.

Cutie Pie Thinlets Die.

I was fortunate to get the Cutie Pie Thinlets Die half price and the matching Sweet Stack Stamp Set free with my last order . I have to say that I have not been disappointed.There are so many different ways that you can dress it up.
In the first example I used Blushing Bride Card Stock and the Garden In Bloom Stamp Set to decorate the sides.

The second cake slice is made out of the retired Coastal Cabana Card Stock with an aperture covered with some acetate. The flowers on the side are a cute little Flower Die which is in the set as is the little tag and the bow.

The sentiment here is from the Garden in Bloom Stamp Set embellished with some Papillon Potpourri Butterflies. I used the Decorative Label Punch to punch out the sentiment.

The next one was cased from Connie Stewart - www.simplysimplestamping.com
I could not resist the yummy looking chocolate layers created by one of the stamps from the matching set. Pink Pirouette and Early Expresso are the main colours used here.

The last piece was die cut from Rich Razzleberry Card Stock with some matching DSP from the Brights Paper Stack. It is amazing that you get 40 pieces of 12 x 12 DSP in these Paper Stacks for £20.That is 50p a sheet! The flower was die cut using the Spiral Flower Bigz Die.
It was finished off with some White Seam Binding Ribbin.

Shaker Cards

I wanted to post a photo of the three designs of Shaker Cards that are available in the Kit on page 4 of the Stampin Up Autumn/Winter Catalogue because they are such fun to make especially with children. You get lots of extra coloured sequins, stars, sticky strips etc. The star one could be used as a Graduation Card and the Circle one could be used for any occasion!

Jingle All the Way

The first Bundle that caught my eye in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue was the Jingle All the Way Bundle. I used the Softly Falling Textured Embossing Folder for the snow in the first card.
The colours are Soft Sky, Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler on a Crumb Cake Base.
The second card was cased from a card on Pinterest. The snow was created by flicking water over the inked up Whisper White Card stock.
I will be doing a class at my house, using this Bundle on Thursday, September 24th, at 9.30 am.

The sky, in the second card, was created by applying Night of Navy Ink to Watercolour Paper using an Aquapainter.

Into the Woods

Stampin Up is launching the new Autumn/ Winter Catalogue today.This is the Autumn Stamp Set that caught my eye. You could use it for men's or baby cards. I love the cute critters as the Americans would say. The first card was cased from the new Catalogue with some additional animals added!

I used one of the Crumb Cake Note Cards for the card base in the above card. I sponged some Rich Razzleberry Ink on to a piece of Into the Woods DSP.

The Stamp Set is great for Tags to add to boxes. Here is a Baker's Box made out of Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. I sponged some ink on the base and tied the Tag on with some Pumpkin Pie Cotton Ribbon.
