Mini Albums

Today I got back into the swing of Mini Albums. I needed to have a few more designs to show people at a Class here tomorrow night! This is the front of the first one. It is called a Magic Pocket Album and it is fairly straightforward to make.

Here is the inside. There are lots of pockets to put tags in. I just have not made the tags yet.

The second album is called a Napkin Fold Album. The first photo shows the ribbons which decorate the spine.

Here is the inside. Lots of pockets to put things in.

This is a bird's eye view. This Album was more tricky to put together but I got there in the end.
I just have to decorate them a bit more but I don't know if I will have time to do that by tomorrow night as I have to take my daughter to college tomorrow to deregister. She graduates on Friday!

New In Colours from Stampin Up.

The idea for the first card came from a Demo Video that Stampin Up did of the new colour families. I have only  used the new In Colours here. I cut them out with the Floral Fusions Die. I stamped the Crumb Cake Card Stock in Whisper White using the Distressed Dots Stamp which is retiring at the end of this month.
I used the Large Scallop Edgelit with one of the matching Delicate Design Embossing folder.
The smaller Pearl Basic Jewels finished it off.

I then decided to break out of my comfort zone and use Basic Grey Card Stock as the base. The three colours here are Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Crisp Cataloupe.
The Doily stamp is from  a set from the new Catalogue  called Happy Day.
The sentiment is from Curly Cute which is retiring at the end of this month.

Purple Cards.

I had fun making the above card using the Scallop Square Die which is retiring at the end of this month.
I couldn't find directions on the Internet so i had fun working it out!
The Hydrangea stamp is from the Best of Flowers set which is available from Stampin Up this month..

I used the Scallop Edgelit with the matching embossing folder for this card. The sentiment is from the Trust God Stamp Set punched out with the 1 3/4 inch Scallop Circle punch.
I used the Blossom Punch for the backing and stamped and punched out the butterflies using the Papillon Potpourri Stamps with the matching punch.

Bright Blossoms Stamp Set.

Next week I am doing a Workshop using Brights Card Stock, Summer Smooches Designer Series Paper and the Brights Blossoms Stamp Set. Here is one of the four cards that we will be making. I also used one of the Finishing Touches Edgelits Dies. I discovered that this Die must be used lengthwise in the Big Shot to cut properly. I also used the 1 1/4 inch Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 inch Circle Punch to punch out the stamped flowers.
The Teeny Tiny Sentiments Set was used for the "friend to friend" words. The sentiment was punched out using the Word Window Punch and it was then mounted on Island Indigo Card Stock punched out with the Modern Label Punch.

The next two photos show an example of the Gift Box that we will be making. I used Real Red and Daffodil Delight Card Stock with the Summer Smooches Paper. The flower is made using the Fancy Flower Punch with an In Colour Brad to hold it together. I stamped the Daffodil Delight Flowers with the lovely Distressed Dots Stamp which is sadly retiring in two weeks time. This Box can be made with one sheet of 12 x 12 Card Stock.

School Fair at Prenton Prep school.

I enjoyed making all of these goodies for a School fair last Saturday.
First up is a photo of the Post it Note Holders, Notepads and Sweetie Bags!
The Brights Paper Stack was used for the Note Pads with the Feel Goods Stamp Set and the Butterfly Punch.

The covered chocolate bars were popular especially with Father's Day the following day.
I used the retired Fox and Friends Stamp Set. I am so glad that I have kept it as it is so useful for children's items.

I used the Subtles Card Stock for the Milk Cartons. I am so glad that I got that Big Shot Die!
The Boho Blossoms Punch was used for the flower embellishments.
I used the Stamping Around Wheel to decorate them and then filled them with M&Ms.

I used the Brights Cardstock for the Petite Purses which were filled with Maltesers.
I used the Boho blossoms Punch for the fastenings.

The Owl Bookmarks were very popular. There must be a lot of Dads who like reading.
The Owl Builder Punch makes such a cute owl.

Mosaic Madness and Father's Day.

On Friday Amy brought  around the Mosaic Madness Stamp set, punch and matching embossing folder for us to have a go with.
I really enjoyed making these cards using the new In Colours which will be available from July 1st in the New Catalogue.
The Card Base is Strawberry Slush with Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding!

The Card Base here is Soft Brown Sugar which is a yummy brown.I teamed it up with Coastal Cabana and Pistachio Pudding.I got the idea for this card from Connie Stewart HERE
I like the rustic look that the Linen Thread adds to the card.

Amy  also brought a Father's Day set of stamps which are in the current Catalogue so I enjoyed having a go with those too!
The Border Stamp is from Mosaic Madness. I enjoyed popping out the Strawberry Slush tie. I know that this is an unusual colour to use on a Man's card but I thought it would be good for a Dad with a sense of humour!

Bright Blossoms Card.

I love the Summer Smooches Designer Series paper so I have decided to use it in a Workshop, here, this month. This will be one of the Cards. It cheers me up to see these colours together. We will be using the Bright Blossoms and Best of Flowers Stamp Sets with the Brights Card stock alongside the papers.
The sentiment is from the Made For You set which is reduced price at the moment while stocks last.

Two Scrap Book Pages.

These are the two demo pages that I did for a Scrap and Chat evening, here, recently.
I have not added journalling or a Title yet but I will soon!
I used Crumb Cake Card Stock and the Tea For Two Designer Series papers.
The three flowers were made using three different punches. The 1 3/4 inch Scallop Circle, the Blossom and the Fancy Flower.
I also used the Lattice and Scallop Square  Sissix Dies as well as the Beautiful Wings Embosslits for the butterflies.I love the way that it cuts and embosses five butterflies in one go.

The two pages are of a family outing to Thurstaston this Spring. It was sunny but cold hence we are well wrapped up.
My next Scrapbook Day is on Saturday, July 27th so email me for details if you are interested in joining us!
