Butterfly Basics and Heat Embossing.

This afternoon I ran a Heat Embossing class at my house and these cards are the last card that we made. The original card was made by Dawn and Shelli HERE. I love the way that everyone's interpretation was different. Blackberry Bliss was the most popular colour with Perfect Plum a close second. I love the Fern in the Butterfly Basics Set.

As you can see we had fun sponging and spritzing and my hands were covered with ink by the end of the class. I stamped the butterfly on to vellum and then covered it with Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder before heating it.

The two small butterflies in this card were punched out of Silver Glimmer Card Stock with the Itty Bitty Butterfly Punch.

In the above card made by Val the small flower was punched out with the Itty Bitty Accents Flower Punch. That set of punches was one of the first products that I ordered when the new catalogue was launched last July.

Jess made this last card for her Dad using the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set. This was an original design by her and she is not even a Teenager yet! She used the Mini Skinny Alphabet Set for the letters.

Butterfly Basics and the new 2015 - 2017 In Colours from Stampin Up.

I made these Curvy Keepsake Boxes for some of my team who will be at a Team Meeting tomorrow.
I cased them from Erica Cerwin's blog HERE. I used a Sponge Dauber with the new In Colour Inks and the 12 x 12 dots Stencil from Stampin Up. I stamped the smaller butterflies on to vellum and then applied Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder and set it with the Heat Tool. I used the square Label Framelit from the Curvy Keepsake Die Set and threaded it through before cutting it. This meant i could determine the length.

I then enjoyed making some small cards with the Butterfly Basics Stamp Set and the new Stampin up In Colours 2015 - 2017. I used some other sentiment sets as well.

I used the "Rock and Roll Technique" with the large stamp in the above card.

Adventure Bound Men's Cards

Last month Monica Gale came over to the Wirral to do a Training Day for us. We always get a kit of goodies at a training day and this time we got the Adventure Bound DSP Stack and some Antique Brads amongst other items. The above card was the deciding factor in me buying the Amazing Birthday Stamp Set which I now love. It is so versatile and I love the idea of using different colour Stampin' Write Markers or Embossing Powders with it.

Sadly the Starburst Sayings Framelits and matching Stamp Set are retiring so I was glad to have a chance to use them in the above card. This card could be used for Birthday, Graduation, getting a new job etc.

The Crumb Cake Cards and matching envelopes were used for these cards. The Stamp Sets are sadly both retiring - Four you and Your Perfect Day ( A fab wedding set)so get them while you can before June 3rd!
The Painted Blooms Cotton Twine from the Spring/Summer Catalogue was used to finish these cards off.

We made a box for the cards to go in. This box was designed by Becca Prideaux for the Peterborough Training Day.
Below is what it looks like when it is opened.
The Scallop Trim Border Punch has been retired but it is being replaced by a Thinlet Die in the new Catalogue which is part of the Cutie Pie Thinlets Set.

Sprinkles of Life

I have been playing with some goodies from the new Catalogue which will be launched on June 2nd.
The first card has Watermelon Wonder for the card base. I embossed it with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder. The DSP behind the stamped image is from the Cherry on the Top 6 x 6 Paper Stack.

The card base in the second card is Tip Top Taupe which is a gorgeous neutral brown slightly darker than Crumb Cake and soon to be my new favourite. The tiny flowers and bird are all in the stamp set with loads of sentiments. This is what you call a very versatile stamp set with a matching Tree Builder Punch.

The third Card was cased from Sarah Douglas' presentation at the South Pacific Convention.
I changed the base card, used an embossing folder, added some Itty Bitty Flowers and a different sentiment!

Blended Bloom heat embossed.

I have been having fun with the new in colours from Stampin Up. One of the advantages of being a Stampin Up Demonstrator is that you can pre order new Catalogue items a month before the Catalogue launches!
I used three retiring colours of embossing powder on the left hand card - Crushed Curry, Pool Party and Blushing Bride. I then applied ink using a sponge dauber. I used Shimmer Card Stock as it gives a better finished result.
I used white embossing powder for the card on the right. The base card is Mint Macaron. One of the inks that I used to colour the flower was Watermelon Wonder with some Delightful Dijon in the centre of the flower.

Owl Builder Punch and Aviary.

I made a card this afternoon for a friend who loves birds. I immediately knew that I had to use the Aviary Stamp Set which has sadly retired. The colours are Pink Pirouette and Pistachio Pudding with a bit of Pixie Pink. The embossing folder that I used for the Card Base is Filigree Frame.
The box was made using the Gift Box Punch Board for the Base and the Score Board and Envelope Punch board for the lid. I found the video on Papercraft Button. It was very quick to make.
I used the Starburst Sayings Stamp set for the sentiment on the box and the Owl Builder Punch.

Here is a view of the top of the box. The DSP I used is part of the Brights Paper Stack which retired last year.
